The Trip

Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem is England’s oldest inn. First established as an inn and brewhouse it was called the The Pilgrim. It is situated at the base of the cliffs beneath Nottingham Castle. It changed its name after King Richard the Lionheart and his men gathered there before journeying to Jerusalem in 1189AD. Anyone taking a city break should visit the castle, view the Robin Hood statue and go to “The Trip” for Ye olde Ale . It’d be rude not to.
